Aboriginal artist Dempsey Bob carved Fog Woman and Raven sculptures for the entrance to the International Departures lobby at YVR. The smoothly carved cedar monuments were inspired by a childhood fable the Tahltan-Tlingit artist heard as a child over and over again from his mother, grandmother and the elders in his village. It’s an ancient Tlingit tale that tells the story of a woman betrayed by a raven.
